The best UK footwear retailers, brands and students were recognised with a coveted Drapers Footwear Awards at the 2011 gala dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.  The Drapers Footwear Awards bring together the UK and republic of Ireland’s footwear industry to celebrate the best in the business.

It is with great pride that FitFlop were awarded with the honours of ’Footwear Brand of the Year’ .

enjoying wearing them – here’s where your money is going:

– Beading for the Manyano sandal gave HIV-affected women
full-time employment for two months – a practical way for
them to help themselves.

– In addition 100% of our profits from sales of the Manyano
went back to the cooperative to fund an Orphan and Vulnerable
Children’s Project which gives health and nutrition education,
homework assistance and meals to children orphaned after
losing their parents to HIV/AIDS or who are infected in townships.

Hand-beaded by the women of the Wola Nani cooperative in Cape Town, the MANYANO sandal is crafted in luxurious natural leather and has our famous Microwobbleboard™ midsole built in. FitFlop donated 100% of the net profit from the sales of each pair of MANYANO sandals to the Wola Nani, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping communities hit hardest by HIV.

While flip-flops are the footwear of choice for many of us over the summer months, not all  are created equally - reports the New York Press’s Lisa Held.   FitFlop is heralded as a healthy summer footwear choice, and given the ‘seal of acceptance’ by the American Podiatric Medical Association.
